Nadia Pachedi is a traditional Odia preparation made with freshly grated coconut, thick curd, aromatic spices, and mango ginger. It is one of the sacred offerings prepared as part of Lord Jagannath's Chhapan Bhoga and is loved for its refreshing taste and simple preparation.

- 2 cups freshly grated coconut
- 1 cup thick curd dahi
- 2-3 tbsp mishri powder or sugar adjust to taste
- ½ tsp roasted cumin jeera powder
- ¼ tsp freshly crushed black pepper powder
- ¼ tsp black salt or to taste
- 1 tbsp grated mango ginger amba ada
- 1 Tulsi leaf optional, for offering
In a mixing bowl, whisk the thick curd until smooth.
Add mishri powder (or sugar), roasted cumin powder, freshly crushed black pepper, and black salt. Mix well.
Add the freshly grated coconut and grated mango ginger.
Gently combine everything until well mixed.
Serve immediately or refrigerate for 15–20 minutes before serving for a more refreshing taste.
If preparing as Bhoga, place a Tulsi leaf on top before offering.
