In a pan, first dry roast the chana dal till light brown in color.
Transfer to a plate and allow to cool.
In the same pan, dry roast the sesame seeds. Transfer to a plate.
Then into a blender jar, put all the chana dal and make either super fine or moderately fine powder according to the texture of the peda desired
Next take ghee in a pan and turn on heat.
Over low heat, add chana dal powder along with powdered sugar.
Mix everything gently, but continuously to avoid lumps formation.
Soon the whole mixture starts to leave the pan and and ghee will start to ooze
Transfer the dough into a plate and allow to cool a bit.
When it is still warm, add the roasted sesame seeds and knead a bit.
Start making balls (around 1-2 inches) and shape as desired.
Serve immediately or keep in an air-tight container to serve later !
