Fried Onions for Biryani

Preparation Time : 5 mins      |      Cooking Time : 15 mins ​

Ingredients :   
Onion (large size)3-4 no.
Corn flour1 tsp
Oilfor frying
​Method :
  1. Wash and peel the skin of onions. Cut into thin slices and ensure they are almost of same thickness.
  2. Sprinkle corn flour on the slices and toss them well.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan till hot. Reduce the flame to medium. Add few onion slices at one time and deep fry until crisp in texture & golden-brown color.
  4. Transfer them to an absorbent paper. Cool them completely and store in an airtight jar. They can be used for few days.

​​Notes :
  • Do not fry the onions on high flame. Otherwise, the onions may turn darker and lose the flavor which is actually required.
